When i first heard of this I thought that it might be a cool thing, that they might make it like a new game, with the new Wii controls, but sadly i have been mistaken. Nintendo is releasing ports, nothing more, of Pikmin, and Mario Power Tennis. Now i don't mind Pikimin (personally when i played them for the short time that i had i like 2 better but anyways), and I really like Mario Power Tennis, but I don't think i am going to pay like $40 for a new copy of it that uses controls that I probably wouldn't even like. I have found that even in MKWii now, I prefer the GC controller. Although some people (basically the non gamers that will take advantage of the easier controls and the whole get up and play attitude) are going to think this is cool. Well these games offer NOTHING more than their GC versions, except the controls. And now that these games are coming out and no new games like these are on the horizon (i.e. Pikmin 3, or Mario Wiiner Tennis), I am thinking what the hell is going on, nintendo has gotten lazy. They havent announced any new installments on their franchises (now i know M&L3 but i dont think they've announced that for NA yet), and they really haven't done ANYTHING! I mean come on give us SOMETHING, for all those people that have been with you for even just your last system. Seriously nintendo PROVE ME WRONG! I would be happy to find out that I am wrong about all of this, that you guys really are working on new games, that they are going to continue Star fox. Seriously prove me wrong |

Since you mentioned MaL3 I will take this post to wonder WHY THE FUCK NINTENDO HASN'T ANNOUCED IT FOR A US RELEASE, ALL THE OTHER MAL GAMES WERE RELEASED IN THE US FIRST BUT NOT MAL3. </RAGE> Oh, and new play control is retarded. I don't see it benefiting games like Pikmin or Mario Tennis. It will benefit Metroid Prime probably, and apparently the New Play Control version of DK:JB is getting all new levels. |

hmmm so they are going to make new levels, why not a new game? I mean big whoop new levels, you can get that on Xbox live really easily, it's called an expansion pack. |

LET'S PLAY DONKEY KONGA WITHOUT THE BONGOS!!!! Me - "HOW ABOUT NOOOO!" seriously... this is a bad idea... they're probably going to pick a bunch of games that were just fine to begin with and then re release them without better graphics, but different controls... |

I think it's a stupid idea, in most cases...yet seeing as I've played neither game, and also because none of the game stores carry the Gamecube version, and AGAIN also because the remakes are probably decent remakes anyhow, I'll probably buy one or the other at some point. As for the drought of games...I don't see that one being patched up very much. Probably only one major first party game by holiday '09, and some slated for '10 perhaps, but that's about it. The Wii's super rush of first party games in its first year and a half is really starting to hurt it. And yay for M&L3 mention. Sadly looks like the earliest NA release date would be some point in May, and even that might be a stretch. Waaaaaaah. |

may have just been a mistake, but i wouldn't call them remakes, remakes means you changed somthing such as graphics, or characters. all this is is a port |

Eh...it's definitely debatable in this case. I suppose it is more of a port, although the whole idea of New Play Control somewhat suggests otherwise. |

Nah, ill give you another example of what this is. If they were to make smash bros 64 on DS they'd change the controls. the only special thing about the New Play Control case is that its motion, but thats just cause the system has it, like they would probably put touch in the game somewhere for the hypothetical smash64 DS |
