<b>The Royal Realm Forum Rules </b> We, the moderating team, want this forum to be a fun place. We don't want there to be a lot of rules, but some rules are necessary. The first rule is the most important: <b>Respect.</b> Have respect for the comments made by others even if they are different than your own. If you follow this rule, then we will always have a good place to chat, enjoy each other's company and learn from each other. Here are the other rules: <b>Be constructive.</b> Comments may be critical but they should be constructive or contribute in some manner. To say that someone is as ugly as a dog is not a helpful comment, rather an empty comment that doesn't contribute to any discussion. <b>Do not harass other members.</b> Don't antagonize members in threads, by private messages or e-mails. <b>Provide sources.</b> Photo agencies, magazines, newspapers, or other message boards or forums should get credit for images or articles. <b>Do not spread rumours, especially negative ones.</b> Sometimes it is fun to engage in fun gossip such as that someone may be engaged or pregnant. But please do not make posts that someone is dying without a reliable source. <b>No swearing or obscene language.</b> This applies to curse words or offensive language in English or other languages. <b>No pornographic or obscene images.</b> Pornographic images are self-explanatory but obscene images are subjective. It is up to our discretion what is considered obscene. <b>Don't steal bandwidth.</b> At other message boards or forums and here, images are hosted at people's personal image hosting accounts. Do not take the links for these images and post them elsewhere. Host the images yourself then share them. <b>No advertising or solicitation.</b> Don't make posts or contact members to try and sell something. <b>Do not type all in caps.</b> Typing all in capital letters is considered "yelling" on the internet. Also, do not use bold face font for regular posts as this is also considered yelling. Try to use a normal font for your posts. Sometimes special colours or larger font sizes can be used for special occasions or announcements but not in everyday posts. <b>Signatures should be of a moderate size.</b> Signatures that are too big, too colourful or animated can be distracting especially when they appear repeatedly everywhere. You can link to your Live Journal, My Space, your website if you'd like, but please remember to not make the links too distracting. <b>Be cautious of personal information being shared.</b> Share personal information with only those you absolutely trust. The Royal Realm is not responsible or liable for personal information shared via posts, profiles, signatures or in posts. How much you decide to share about yourself and to whom is your responsibility, not ours. <b>No post-slutting.</b> This means making endless posts saying unhelpful or empty things, like making 20 posts saying "Thank you for the pictures." <b>The Royal Realm materials are for this forum only. </b>Materials posted in the threads, such as scans, pictures and translations may not be posted elsewhere. Violation of this forum is subject to disciplinary action, ranging from suspension to a permanent ban. We take the theft of such material very seriously. There are times when special materials will be made for the The Royal Realm, such as banners, avatars, wallpapers, videos or other special project by the three of us and by our members. Please don't post these things for use at other forums. That isn't fair to those who have put time and effort into creating such things. We are adults and believe in an open door policy. If you have a problem with another member or with something we have done or feel that something is unfair or disrespectful then please contact us. Please don't make public your frustrations or displeasure in posts. We would appreciate it more and have more respect if you took it up with us personally. We are human and sometimes we get caught up in things and may make decisions that may not be fair or be jaded. Take it up with us. We are willing to hear what you have to say. So these are our policies at The Royal Realm. We think they are simple and straightforward.
