Rules This is a role-playing game based on the British TV show Torchwood. It is not real, don’t get confused on that point. This is a mature game, you need to be an adult to play and behave like one too. Torchwood is a post-watershed show and sex, violence and bad words are all present in canon, as well as various types of sexual orientations. On the other hand, if your post contains a lot of gore, violence or sex please put a warning in the subject line of the thread in question. Do not take out personal issues on the game, on other players, on the mods or on me. That’s the quickest path to the exit door. We’re here to have fun. We’re a small, advanced skill role-playing board. We use a novel/round-robin posting style with an emphasis on writing skill and plot and character development. The administrator and players work together to create storylines. Generally Do not try to control the actions, thoughts, words or reactions of other player characters. Even in cases of physical force, you describe your action and your opponent describes their response to your action. We’re helpful but not your mommy. You need to balance being proactive with being too invasive in other people’s posts. Use the PM, email to discuss posts and stories, as well as the ‘Mission Planning’ section. If you are going to be absent for a period of time, please leave a note in the LOA forum. If you need to take an extensive leave, please contact the admin. Players who abandon their character for two weeks will get an email from the Admin, if there’s no response by three, their character will be adopted out. Posting We’re a fairly active board, and players should expect to post about every other day, minimum. Please do not post one-liners, it’s not very helpful to your fellow players; post should be a minimum of 300 words and easily more. When a character is moving from place to place, please move the thread and leave a link in the last post on one forum saying where the character has moved (use the URL button in the reply box to create your links).

Keep OOC (out of character) chatter to a minimum in the IC (in character) boards. There are several OOC forums to use. If you need to put stage directons in a post, use the horizontal separator and format the OOC section something like this … OOC: here’s where you talk OOC Spell check, grammar check and review your posts. The only way we’ll know you or your characters is through your writing. Every word processing program in existence has a spell checker included, at this point. This is an English language, novel-style role-playing board. We don’t use netspeak, script formatting or chat room short-hand. Invite other players to post with you! That’s what we’re all here for, after all. Use the Mission Planning forum to brainstorm plots and storylines. Edited by Captain Jack Harkness, Jun 17 2008, 09:06 AM.
