I know, I know! No posting - but there's been plotting going on behind the scenes and most important ...

Foxy has agreed to be our new Ianto! *waves hands madly ala Kermit the frog*

She's doing her work on the board and hopefully will be ready to throw herself in with the rest of us very soon. So, give her pets and welcome her aboard!

That might have made me squee out loud. Just a little.

(Also, that means I am not the newest of newbies any more! That is weird yet cool.)

Yes, but I haven't made out with you yet. So you're still on that list.

It's true. Mouse is in charge of hazing.

(Though I maintain I won Foxy over to our side with my manly foam breasts.)

Hey, it's not hazing. It's not like anyone minds. *pout*

Well, we didn't manage to scare her off, at any rate.

It's very nice hazing, yes. I mean, I don't even have any bruises...

I liked the part where you did a total double-take when I took the shirt off and had just the vest.

Okay kids – basic plot outline for Adam Redux
This is a somewhat general overview, details can be discussed etc.

Scene 1
Pretty much immediately after the boardroom scene, Andy, Owen and Jack are going to leave the hub to do a retcon errand; they’re going to have to cool their heels for a bit, unfortunately. Martha, Tosh, Adam and Ianto are remaining behind. Martha and Tosh are wrangling with some tasks Jack gives them – mainframe is showing some minor faults and errors that are troubling so Tosh is dealing with them.

Adam is ‘helping’ – boy is he. Eventually he heads down to the sub-levels where Ianto notices him trying to get into Mainframe via a bit of break and enter. Unsuccessful with that, Adam goes after Ianto to erase his presence down by Mainframe and to try and get security codes that will allow him access. Unfortunate for both Adam and Ianto, Ianto doesn’t have the codes and Adam leaves him to return to the main level.

Scene 2
At the same time, Martha and Tosh are dealing with Mainframe’s upset and Martha gets a very troubling fragment of internal CCTV. Before she has a chance to act on it however, Gwen pops down to the Hub to say ‘hi’ after her vacation. Adam is quite a surprise, however, she manages to get away, memories intact and flees to the lower levels. Adam and Tosh manage to convince Martha that Gwen is the problem, for now, and he pursues her in the lower levels. Adam and Ianto, Gwen and Adam play hide and seek in the dark.

Gwen finds Ianto and the two of them team up to get away from Adam and try and get hold of Jack. Gwen is able to escape but Ianto stays behind to give her time (we can discuss this in detail). This is a great chance for creepy stalking in the dark, hiding and suspense and so on.

Gwen manages to escape the hub and goes looking for Jack. She enlists Rhys’ help (mainly ‘cause he’s around with a car) and they end up contacting her old police buddies ‘cause they know where the big, shiny, secret Torchwood SUV is.

More later.

Let me know what folks think! As you can see, Jack, Owen and Andy are sort of hanging around for this.

Works for me. If we want to do some low-key threading with Jack, Andy, and Owen, I'd be up for that as well.

So, this sort of my sense of the character positions - plot wise - if it doesn't work for you or you have expansion/different ideas, let me know. I'm assuming that Adam has instincts or skills on how to ingratiate himself so he set things up for that.

He set himself up as Jack's right-hand man, loyal, a confidant, close. This way he has a lot of influence, and this particular construction also engages Jack's loyalty because he's the only other survivor of the old team. Jack can support his presence even when Adam's not around. It also gives Jack a loyal friend and companion.

Tosh, loyalty and access. Pretty much as long as he can keep her loyalty and she has freedom to move, she can be hugely helpful to him. He also gives her confidance and a loving relationship.

Ianto, the scapegoat. By putting him in a position of borderline mistrust and isolation, he's available as a scapegoat or a red herring should Adam need it. Also, they're less likely to listen to him if he connects evidence from the information available in the archives. Unfortuanly, Adam didn't go out of his way to help Ianto much.

Andy and Owen, to Adam were relatively unimportant, which is why he tied them up together - that way they don't think much beyond themselves - but he did give them companionship and someone who will always understand them. For Martha and with her light connection to everyone else, and her general level of mental health, he couldn't really find a specific thing to do to/for her.

Hello all! *waves* Thank you for the kind welcome! (Yeah, the foam breasts totally won me over.) :D

I'm still feeling my way around (am caught up with everything occurring right now) but am slightly befuddled by where things are from a UI perspective - like the link to start a topic in the Mainframe room, which I assume is in the Lower Levels section. (Maybe I don't have full board rights yet so can't start a topic, or maybe I'm just missing something that's riiiiight in front of me.)

I'd say Hub: Lower Levels: Other Areas. Then on the right side of the screen there should be a button that says 'new topic.' It looks just like the 'add reply' button on existing threads.
