Will be this possible in next version of :U3D: ? Simply showing first collision point of laser (using GetDistanceToTerrain)?

It is already possible using GetDistanceToModel. In U3D 2.0 there will be a few more ray tracing functions for primitives and terrains but these aren't necessary for realizing this.
