Blender.
It's a really popular open source program. Since it's very professional it's quite difficult to learn. But there are great tutorials for it.

but i can use md2 model files now.

because i just found out that misfit model can make animated .md2 files :yahoo:
i can make/edit texture and animate all of my models and export as .md2 now! :clapping: :cow:

Animator is MUCH easier to use than Blender :o. The GUI is a lot simpler (albiet, a bit "weirder") and there's less functions to clutter and confuse you.

That said, it's no where NEAR as powerful as Blender, but for homebrew 3D animations, it is more than up to the task ;).

Too bad the tutorials for Anim8or are not very comprehensive. However, once you get the hang of it, it's extremely easy to model with!

can you teach me then?

i can model, i just use like 10 programs to do it, and don't really even use anim8or.

how do you make abstract shapes, and faces and stuff? i can only make primitives and distort them or, use extruding on the faces of a box.

I don't quite understand what you mean. But... if you're saying what I think you're saying, then:

You can draw abstract shapes in Anim8or with the Straight Path and the Curved Path tool, and then later Filling the shape you "draw" (Build -> Fill).

actualy it doesent, Anim8or just doesent use Culling. If you load the model in ultimate3d only one side gets drawn.

i think you can turn Culling on somewhere in options.

Oh, you guys are talking about backface culling... Well, there isn't any way to turn it off in Anim8or--I'm pretty sure culling is off by default on almost all 3D modeling softwares...

Just know that the BACK side of any face in Anim8or will be culled in U3D, and that only the FRONT will actually show up (be rendered).
