GM6 now works under Vista! Well, not directly, but Mr. Overmars has released a converter that converts the header of GM6 and GM6.1 EXE's into Vista compatible headers so that Vista can now run it. Here's a direct download link to the converter: GM6 Converter Enjoy :D! |

Why does everybody seem to hate GM7 so much? (apart from yoyogames making it crap... ) Game maker 6 will eventually become obsolete, so isn't it just better to use the newer version? |

I think some people just hate it, because they don't have a valid license and Game Maker 7 is more difficult to crack. I'm not accusing anybody anyway . Honestly IMHO Game Maker 6.x is the worst Game Maker version out of all. It is extremely unstable. It causes access violations whenever a game created with it gets executed. Game Maker 7.x is more stable, but it's not perfect anyway. That's why I still offer Game Maker 5.0 files for Ultimate 3D, even if I'm unsure whether there's anybody out there using them

Actually, GM7 is way more easier to crack then GM6, you don't even need a key! I cracked my GM7 on my vista install (for tryouts, my XP install is my primary and has a legal key) since I didn't want to use one of my registration points. |

More reasons to Not use GM6 is more like it because it runs better than GM6 Handles more sprites hey it took long for game to even lag, even the D3D is 5x faster still we should use for 3d games.
