I rule! i just figured out how to make anim8or run on vista, you right click, go to properties, click compatibility then press windows xp server pack2 click apply and run.

Well, it's not that self-evident that this is working and for me it isn't <_< . Anim8or opens up and runs, but the viewports, keep displaying frames from recent views in irregular time intervals, like there's something wrong with the back buffer flipping.

yeah i have some things wrong too, like when i draw a box to select verices, it leaves a trail of boxes of where the box was. this i can live with, but i don't about what you said.

Dr. Best, do you know the programmer for Anim8or? If you do, you could probably ask him to start working on making it compatible... :dunno:

Yes, I do know him. Once I asked him whether, he would like to get a detailed bug report on the problems under Vista as a side question in an email regarding a problem with the Anim8or model file format. Probably he just overlooked it, but he didn't react on this part of the mail. I may ask him about this again although each of you can do this just as well. His email address is rsteven@anim8or.com ;) . I'm on holiday for two weeks now, so have a nice time without me ^_^ .
