Your code should look like this:
Code:

SetTexturePath("Graphics folder/First room/"); // This string is just exemplary
file="models/model.3ds";
LoadMesh(); // The textures for this model will be searched in "Graphics folder/First room/"

Does it?

Please make used to giving information that's precise enough to give others a chance to help you. Your first post didn't even mention that you are using SetTexturePath(...). Your second one doesn't give any relevant new information. Post bits of your code and say what's happening (e.g. "It shows an error message saying, that it was unable to find the texture file." instead of "It's not working").

May it be that Map1.an8 is being loaded somewhere else before (before the call to SetTexturePath(...))? I am using SetTexturePath(...) in the Tech Demo all the time so in principle it can't be a bug in there. You should also make sure that you are using the most current dll although I can't remember any bug fix that's related to SetTexturePath(...) in any way.
