Will U3d's PPLX mapping on a Alpha'd material work?

I'm just wondering, because I noticed texture splatting in Gears of War, except every texture was PPLX mapped. It's a pretty cool effect having two PPLX'd materials overlapping.

Meh.

Just try it and you should see that it works ;) . The parallax mapping pixel shaders take the transparency from the diffuse map.
