Hi, i have the following problem (the others are solved): I am making a game and i use a model file as terrain with some ray-checking code. Now i want to place some enemies in my room, but i don't know where! i tried to render the file but i don't know where the model should be and how large the room should be. Here is the file: snowbalz_map.zip Can anyone explain me clearly how to make a map of a level? this is just a testlevel so i want to make more! |

Just make a ray tracing object point at the center of the screen, draw a crosshair and its x y and z location data and write it down. You will need this code to calculate the x,y and z: x+=lengthdir_x(lengthdir_x(rotx,1),roty-90) y+=lengthdir_y(lengthdir_x(rotx,1),roty-90) z+=lengthdir_y(rotx,1) If that doesn't work try this: x+=lengthdir_x(lengthdir_x(rotx,1),roty+90) y+=lengthdir_y(lengthdir_x(rotx,1),roty+90) z+=lengthdir_y(rotx,1) |

http://u3d.xinto.net/?Categorie=Downloads&...s&Style=Classic The first one download. The green dots on the sprites created are the relative origin on the models. Happy Thanksgiving! |
