I don't know if it's a bug or not, but in the FnWater demo, I have a slight pause (maybe 2 steps) every second when the terrain is in full view. Just throwing it out there. It's really unnoticeable when the camera is in motion. |

May this be due to the recalculation of the terrain light map? I have never noticed anything like this, but this is my first guess on it. Try commenting out the call to CalculateTerrainLightMap(...) and see whether it still does this then. |

Actually I have the same problem. The strange thing is, when I look at the fps, everything seems to be alright (the fps is always above 70 FPS), yet I get this strange "hickup" when flying over the terrain. And its not the CalculateTerrainMap() either - I already tried that out. I even cleared the map of all lights and started the program just with ambient lighting - yet it remains... |
