I don't know if it's a bug or not, but in the FnWater demo, I have a slight pause (maybe 2 steps) every second when the terrain is in full view.

Just throwing it out there. It's really unnoticeable when the camera is in motion.

May this be due to the recalculation of the terrain light map? I have never noticed anything like this, but this is my first guess on it. Try commenting out the call to CalculateTerrainLightMap(...) and see whether it still does this then.

Actually I have the same problem. The strange thing is, when I look at the fps, everything seems to be alright (the fps is always above 70 FPS), yet I get this strange "hickup" when flying over the terrain.

And its not the CalculateTerrainMap() either - I already tried that out. I even cleared the map of all lights and started the program just with ambient lighting - yet it remains...
