You're rewriting to texture index 3. They are different textures. It's hippy-like because U3d creates a normal map from the height map and then puts the height map into the alpha channel, giving you trippy colors, much alike to when you observe a discolored tennis ball come off a racket. The colors go everywhere.
Read up on that guy. It'll come to you eventually. |

I'm up to that at the moment, I decided to skip ahead while I waited for someone to help my pathetic self, I also skipped environment mapping coz that didn't make a lick of sense, oh well, I'm sure I will figure it out! :EDIT: That worked thanks, I am trying the parallax mapping now, but it just looks normal, no nice looking 3d stuff, I made a better height map, which is black and white interpolating at the correct locations. grr I will get this if it kills me, which it probably won't but you know what I mean. Thanks again mate! :EDIT: Never mind I think I know what it is, I called it in the wrong object, I feel silly, Oh well. XD :EDIT: Didn't help, am I suppose to put the "ApplyParallaxAndBumpMapping(...)" in the step or create event, or am I supposed to do something else? I have this
3 is the floor texture and 5 is the height map loaded with LoadHeightMap function |

He read the manual much more closely on the functions he was using. Switch two numbers and you get an entirely different result. |

You are mixing up the arguments.
The first argument is the material index of the model, not the texture index of which you load a texture in U3D. |

What? It says 2009 here. EDIT: Oh, I was only viewing the date of the recent replies which are March 2009. I better close this then so no one else don't get confused as well. Edited by Despellanion, Mar 30 2009, 02:37 PM.
