I had Flyakite OSX installed on my previous PC. Makes you Windows look like OSX, replaces EVERYTHING. The computer wasn't that good but I didn't notice any performance lag. However, there will be lag. The question is: speed or beauty?

I have windows blinds installed right now. it does take some memory, but i haven't noticed a big difference.

Actually I have windows blinds, logon xp, cursor xp, object dock-(i love this one) and boot skin all installed. It's pretty fun, you can make your computer look like whatever you want it to. It confuses the hell out of people when they see "windows 2000 server edition" loading up and BAM its xp!

If you think it wastes memory when you are playing gears or war or crysis, just turn it off. I say get it. Ill take a pic of my desktop, its not as annoying as the other one.

(its skinned to look like a mac)
Notice on the top there is a bar that says "VirtualDub-1.7.2". That's windows explorer minimized like a mac can do to windows. HA can't do that normaly can ya.

Real macs have that thing that looks like the start bar on the top of the screen. And if I may recommend you one thing: change the icons too. Mac icons look soooo much nicer. Even nicer than Vista ones.

There is also a program for Windows XP that allows you to use other themes than only Microsoft's. It customises only the look of the windows and not your entire OS but I assume it's faster.

That problaby be "Neowin UXTheme Multi-Patcher v4.0" and it will patch the uxtheme.dll so you can add more themes to your "C:/Windows/Resources/themes" and select them in the "Appearance" tab. This doesn't require any programs running .
