News update on Abduction!
Done (Not in order):

  • Basic Main Menu
  • Start of an option menu. Has a fully functioning back button (Very easy. I just put it in for some small laughs. :D), and also a fully functioning mouse sensitivity option (Also easy, but it's actually worth mentioning), and a few system statistics (e.g. How much RAM you have).
  • Put in the updated Bullet Physics DLL, I'm continuing to work on improving the physics (I have yet to complete learning GM Bullet).
  • Incorporated the SysInfo DLL into Abduction.


To do (Also not in order):

  • Get some theme music made.
  • Get a character model.
  • Fix the bug in exiting from the test room to the menu (It just freezes. I've got the proper code in, but when you try to quit to the main menu, the game just freezes and makes you close it out by Windows Task Manager).
  • Make a tree model.
  • Finish options menu
  • Get some more guns. Possibly replace current laser, or UV map it again and re-texture it (Current gun uses a planar projection, causing visible stretching in some parts).
  • Start building the first level.
  • Get some enemies, and program their AI and such.

Well, the weird connection that goes straight through the regular rocket launcher is weird... And I can see straight through it. However, I can edit it and add faces to the back if I need to.

I can try to make you some map models. If not too complex. (like roads on serface with a non concystend z value. I can make you weapons 2, And uwv map them (not very goot at uwv mapping so I cant place things precice but it would stil look pretty) If you want to let me make something for you name your maximum poly count.

If you want to help, I'd love to have your help. As for maps, I don't know what's a good count for a map. I'm going to say make them look nice, but not too detailed as to bring the poly count too high. I'm guessing 8000 would be a good limit for a large map.

I double posted since i have somethin inportant to tell/ask.

Isnt it a good idea to make a desert planet which is positioned too close to the sun so that the sky is yellow and desert is everywere but the planet is still livable?
