Game Maker is neither meant to be used for making very complex games, nor it is meant to be used for making games with decent 3D graphics.
And yet some people seem to pull if off anyway :whistle: Not that it's thanks to GM, but to the ones who succeeds to do it. Just look at my game. Call it magic or miracle.

Agreed. it's not what your progrming it's how. to push beyond GM's limits is a bitch that only a few have learned to tame.
Just think of all the badly written code we would have seen if GM + u3d ran like hell! so in a way this teaches us to be mindful of our code.

So untill some one comes up with U3D_GM " the light freeware GM compiler that is fully optimized for u3d 'the man u3d needs'" lets keep learning. -dream on leo dream on...

Hi all (it's been a while... over 1 year i think)
I think that pushing GM + U3D to the best is a sort of race with yourself. I went away from this community cause i'm making a HUGE game and i wanted to do the major parts myself, not being influenced too much from others works.
BTW: Hi Despellanion! Now i'm going to see your game ^^

Python's easy. Ogre3d's easy once you learn how everything works. C++ is tricky, but worth the time and effort it takes.
