I would certainly tell you, if I would know, but I do not even know, whether there will be another release.

Yes, and that has various reasons.

I am using it as implementation framework for new computer graphics algorithms, I may eventually decide to get a game done, it is a fun project and the prospect of a possible new release is somewhat tempting.

I would clearly like to do another release, but I can't really tell whether I will have the time to get it done. Either way I already benefit from the current unstable version of the engine.
