hnmm i didn't think about looking at the system requirements lol.
good catch there, ^__^
bio-shock 8 GB required hahah.
Age of conan 30 GB ..... OMG lol
also Age of Conan has much higher minimum requirements than crysis.

back to bioshock
but than again bioshock doesn't have as big of an environment as crysis,
also if u look at most of crysis texture maps there comprised of smaller textures that overlap.
actually bioshock uses this teqneepue as well. it also has repeating texturemaps which get reused,
hnmm,,, but what game doesn't ? lol

Crysis comes with a level editor which is pretty neat,
you guys should check it out and see how easy it is to place objects and stuff,
the editor is very well thought out.

anyways the end resalt is still the same with crysis vs bioshock, bioshock still has much more veriaty in level design.
also crysis indoor areas look very very very cheeped out. cough cough the ship....

Code does not get done as efficent as is used to be.
In the DOS era programers were very limmited and where forced to program much more efficiently than they used to.
Now due to the mass power today programers cut corners.

Yeah. Games aren't as good as they used to be... There are very few games like Perfect Dark (The 64 one. Never played the 360 prequel.), which are very efficiently programmed for the hardware. Perfect Dark lagged like heck, but that was because of the limits of the N64, which were pushed to the edge. There are very few games made as well as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which was just a downright awesome game.

That was actually the game that inspired me to make Ruins. I wanted the art to be gigantic, just like in Metroid Prime.

I love gigantic art. It's always good for a wow as you're getting shot down.

one game series that i liked alot growing up... was Panzer Dragon 2 Zwei and Panzer Dragon saga for sega saturn,
the art direction was just aww inspireing.
the x-box version sucked.
part 2 supported widescreen on a console....which was amazeing back in the day. (1996)

... anyways i liked this game much much more than starfox 64,,
the gameplay for panzer dragoon blew starfox's clear out of the water.
especially with the 360 degree controle system. and the bosses... just wow!

stage 4 from part 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZJ1ZjthqFE&feature=related

the forest level from part 2 ( as the level progressed the ambient lighting changed throughout.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8BB9ttmgI4&feature=related

part 1's opening..i liked the way it was done without much speaking.

The 3ed game was an RPG...very rare and expencive even today on ebay...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCPFk7uoI9I&feature=related

its a shame that the saturn was so under rated, Thx Sony..
