Remember when doing them in u3d the camera should look from the bottom so to use x and Y like in 2D |

Yeah, but you still have to load a separate file. In "professional" games, I believe they usually pack the skeleton animations with the reference model into one file. Open a model file from Half Life 1 or 2 and you'll usually see a bunch of "animation name.smd" and one or two "reference.smd". Loading only skeleton animation, you have to load up a whole new U3D object (notice I didn't say GM since it's not necessary) and then copy the bone transformations of the animation skeleton to your reference mesh. However, since you usually have parent bones, it's not as simple as copy and paste. I have the code (thanks to MystXYZ and Dr. and I'll show it to you, but only if you really want it. (I'm also asking because it takes a while to clean up the code and remove the game specific stuff Edited by skarik, Oct 4 2008, 02:07 AM.
