Hi everybody, this is just some quick news, mostly meant to avoid getting tons of emails. The current host of Ultimate3D.org (an acquaintance of mine) has decided to get webspace from a new provider. As a consequence of this I have decided to move Ultimate3D.org to a new server. On 21st of November the old server will be offline. I will try to come up with a different solution until then, but since it will probably take me a while to find the time to decide where to buy webspace, I will most likely have to set up the site using free webspace temporarily. For this reason some of the downloads (which are too big for free webspace) may be offline for a while. In addition the website will most likely not be accessible at u3d.xinto.net anymore (but only at Ultimate3D.org). It may happen that the site will be completely offline for a while, but I will try to avoid that. The forum will be accessible at http://forum.ultimate3d.org all the time (since it is hosted by ZetaBoards). The good news is that I can set up the wiki again once I have got my own server with my own MySQL database. With friendly regards, Dr. Best

Unlimited bandwidth and unlimited space, unlimited email aliasses, 100 mysql databases. Mine is hosted at www.rovob.com, maybe i can temporary host U3D at u3d.rovob.com or something?

Once the current server is down I will redirect the domain. But since this is just free webspace I can not get downloads bigger than 2MB up there. This means that the three demos and the collision example can not be hosted there. It would be cool if you could create mirrors for these downloads. Apparently the MySQL database is lost. We can just make a new one right? Right, but it is quite a bit of work to get all the content back into the Wiki. I had the complete official documentation added into it. Especially adding the images can cause quite a bit of work. But maybe I can write myself some nice PHP scripts to do that job.

All downloads are up and the domain is working. Today I noticed that three downloads (both Fire and Water Demo downloads and the Tech Demo download) were corrupted. This has been fixed now. Since the downtime is over this announcement has lost its relevancy. Topic closed.
