Bloody hell I can't get this thing to work. I have no idea what im doing wrong, but its definately not showing a picture of the environment. I want a shiny pipe. Used the 'box' uvmap in 3ds. CreateCubeTextureRenderTarget(104,64); SetMaterialStageTexture(0,0,104) RenderToCubeTexture(104,x,y,z,128,128,128,70) And it gives me a gray image with some brown lines flying out of the corner. |

Oh.. Well, it works now, but its all reversed. As in when I'm facing the pipe, its reflecting whats behind it on my side of the pipe. Is that a bug? EDIT: No, i think my mesh just sucks. There's no way to multiply one environment map with another is there? Damn. Ah, it would look so nice. EDIT2: By my mesh sucking, I meant I didn't smooth it. EDIT3: I take that back. Smoothing it changed the reflection. My pipe is comprised of 5 smaller pipes put together to make a longer one (but as one mesh) and if I smooth the normals, it reflects based on each of the smaller pipes rather than a smooth, long pipe. If I dont smooth the mesh, then the reflections go crazy and dont look right at all. Edited by ashrat3000, Mar 8 2009, 11:26 PM.
