How would I get a sword/laser trail to work? I want to get the trail to work kinda like how it does in games like Zelda OoT or Smash Bros. |

Umm, Ok, now I really need to know how to do a sword trail, because I decided that in my game you can have a laser blade, and it just looks so cool with a sword trail. So can someone please explain to me how to do it with what method and exactly what that method is actually doing?

It's not that easy, you see. I'll make you an example, but I'll have to know a couple things. 1. Is there a bone at the base and the tip of your blade? If not, add some bones. I'll need those to code the effect. 2. The names of the two bones. If you want an easy copy-and-past example... 1. I'll need the model. 2. I'll need the names of the bones. 3. I'll need a can of tomato sauce. |

Ok, by the way, did you mean that I needed a bone at both the handle and tip of the blade? Wont a bone at just the handle work? If not why not? I know it's not easy, but theoretically couldn't you just have a variable for the length? The way it is for me, the tip of the blade should not be constant, it grows and shrinks. |

Oh, okay, then just make sure your sword bone is aligned to the sword properly, as its transformations will be used for the sword trail. |
