I've finally added a particle system, and I want these particles to damage creatures and such. So I'm looking for a way to check for collisions in the area where the particles are. They act just like a flame-thrower. What would the best way to do this be? Would ray-tracking be useful? Also, the direction the particles goes, can be rotated. And by the way, external_call(global.u3d_set_particle_velocity, ...) seems to not work. No matter how high I set the values of the speed, no particles move when they are created... EDIT: I solved the collision problem with a collision cone, an empty room and clever use of AttempMoveToPosition. Edited by hepolite, Apr 20 2009, 12:14 AM.
