Well, I set all the lighting to pitch black, the model was pitch black, but the environment mapping was not affected at all... |

Environment mapping works additive. Why would a reflection be darker, if the material is lit less strong (assuming, that the things, which may be reflected still have the same brightness)? That would not make much sense. If you do not like it anyway you can change it through SetMaterialStageTextureOperation(...). |
