Are you thinking about the engine theprodukkt made Dr. best?

They make whole games only take up 97kb, and graphically they are as good as Quake 3.

if anyone is interested. The demo itself is pretty boring, but the technology is quite impressive. An almost 100% procedural generated game.

I am talking about the entire demo scene. An acquaintance recently made this 4kB demo.

And everybody should know fr-041: debris. It is a 170kB demo with a fairly impressive content.

Well, that's what I had in mind with the 5MB limit. Due to GM's code being stored as nearly plain text, 5MB seemed okay.

I'd like to check those out later. I actually haven't tried any of those.

It's crazy how one can pack all that into that small of a package, though it's manageable, apparently.

So, what do you guys think?

edit: if we choose no textures can we still use a blank texture for ppl or pabmapping

Oh, sorry, missed that. Yeah, a black texture. Just create a render target with a while BG. :P

I've thought about it for about 6 months, and I think it'll come down to only two or three calls to that allowed. Of course, that means that you only can find the line in the program used by objects two or three times, but those objects could be used hundreds of times. Ya see?

I like primitives because they inhibit shaders and they just make the process of things so much faster.

If that limit were chosen, it would be preferred that no models be used. Because U3D is just so awesome, of course there's going to be some slight rule bending.

And in terms of framerate, that would be a... speeding bullet.
