Here is a topic where you post artwork that you drew! Meager, good, or great. Don't let limitations stop you from showing off your skill! I'll post some of mine later.

Drawing hands im fine with, drawing hands crossing over arms, not really.

Also learned that i can use 3DS max and biped models to pose characters to draw. Very usefull.
That is actually damb clever!!
My sister is the biggest artist so i think she would be happy to have that feature.

Very good, Gandalf, for a first attempt.

Although, when starting out, I would say use less colors.

I wouldn't consider the following image totally pixel art, but the cel-shaded style is easier to get into than dithering and teaches the shapes of shadows much better.

Also, shades don't have to have the same exact hue. Try looking at the different shades in the tileset. You'll see the hues vary slightly, and it doesn't seem odd. In general, brighter colors can be more saturated, which gives you a bigger range, or less saturated, which gives you a washout effect.

However, again, for a first attempt at pixel art, that is very, very good. Many levels better than my first attempt at pixel art. You definitely would surpass me if you kept at it.

Nah, I'm not really big on those limitation things. I just try to use only three colors, but with tilesets, I'll end up having four or five shades, usually for the background sets.

But yeah, 256 color @ 16 hue would be more than enough for me. Things would just be extremely colorful.

The feeling of homesickness never goes away when you return to your parents home from years of being away.

same goes with the smell of ash and smoke from the day you set it ablaze.

You can still see the places where the passes come apart, but that looks neat looking. I mean, any scene with high DoV blur and ambient light is neat looking.

Actually I don't think that there are passes involved in this render. With pathtracing it's all more about paths. You have one simple pattern and that is good enough to render all optical effects in a physically correct manner. And I mean all as in all. You get full global illumination (with shadows, ambient occlusion, infinite light bounces, caustics, etc.) and you can simulate the behavior of the camera (i.e. effects like DoV blur) by actually simulating the camera in a physical way. It is quite awesome. I bet that you'd like it, if you'd read about it a little.

@ hanson
That render could use some better color grading. Other than that it's a nice start.

I've painted some new acrylics (yes I paint at light's speed). Sadly I only got poor photographs of them.

The chairhead one to me symbolizes this:

On the usual mans mind, is sitting on his ass all day and being lazy, hense the chair in his head. (although, that may just be more then half of americans.. (yeah, im american, but i couldnt give a shit)

Thanks :)

I just like painting surrealistic and quirky stuff, so there's no special meaning behind the painting. Just weird for the sake of weird.
