That's actually pretty cool. What'll it do?

I figured this was the best place to put this. It's an enemy ship for a game I'm working on with my brother, but I'm kind of lost for ideas on improving the texture. I'll put some bump mapping and specular mapping on it, but I feel like it's missing some much needed detail. Tips for improvement?

I figured this was the best place to put this. It's an enemy ship for a game I'm working on with my brother, but I'm kind of lost for ideas on improving the texture. I'll put some bump mapping and specular mapping on it, but I feel like it's missing some much needed detail. Tips for improvement?

in terms of the model, I think the wings should be larger and sharp at the front.
in terms of the texture, try baking/painting in lighting and using lines/gradients to define the shape more. the noise can be focused to corners and insets rather than all over the model, and the glass should be a gradient toward the center rather than a gradient toward the front.
also, smoothing groups.

Like alex said: use smoothing groups. It looks all mushed up with one single smoothing.

Well she''ll be available to drive to everyone when she's in her pen.
She'll be maintaining my experiments, taking my calls, reading my mail.
Also doing google-ing for me.

She's very much unfinished.
But so far i'm digging up the most powerful, enlightened, overpowered chips I can.
Even shoving a Full android phone into her as a pure data source.

The u20i has , REAL GPS, magnetometer, accelerometer, super ultra bright led flashlight, 5.1 MP camera, 4G/3G/2G Gsm radio, bluetooth, wifi, IR emitter.
860Mhz core arm a6, HW accelerated via EGL for adriuno 200, 256 MB ram.
Running only a single SW process and most of these would be easy for her to handle with her current rom thanks to her fine hardware affinity.
The other chip i'm using is a arm a7 "raspberry PI" even the 1GHz overclocked 512MB B board needs a bloody swap file.
Been searching all over the south africa markets for something more beastly perhaps a 4 or 8 core droid stick.

Then as servo drivers i'm using the teensy3.0 "amazing chip" really awesome, the size of a stamp but has 108MHz processing power.
No servo driver in the world has this much control, power and accuracy.

working on adding the radar system and the depth cams next.

Dat low-res texture. Nice model though.
yea its only 450X306 repeated twice in a 1024X1024, but I uvmapped it so that you could literally take a picture of your own cat and use it as the texture. Thanks.

I decided to draw Reikyrr again, I'm always getting in trouble with the legs and hands. He is supposed to look a bit defeated here. looking at his hands. (claws because I suck at drawing small hands)
