What a fun case of emergent behavior (or the lack thereof).

It does make sense though. In some way it is a classical case of optimization of the wrong functional. What you really should be optimizing is fun for the player but I guess they tried to optimize the challenge for the player and lacking a player the AI got into some sort of feedback loop and eventually converged to peace.

I did a very simple machine learning experiment based on a simple genetic algorithm and an even simpler reinforcement algorithm for a research project this school year. I guess the reinforcement learning could have been construed as a single perceptron for defending AIs and a single perceptron for attacking AIs. No fancy neural networks, no extravagant threshold functions. The AIs played capture the flag, and I found out how sensitive the reinforcement algorithm was to the threshold and input parameters. Eventually the reinforcement AI thought the best course of action was to run toward the opponent while in opponent territory. It was a fun experiment, and it was my first and only finished project in C++ (actually, it might be my first and only finished programming project, period).

Pretty cool, shows us once again that machines are superior to humans when it comes to intelligence.
Ofcourse, thats untill you learn them greed.

If God does not exist, then how is it that a banana fits so perfectly in this banana slicer? CHECKMATE, ATHEISTS!

Classic joke about the failure of christian peoples arguments :P

Seems to me most of those reviews were written by the same person.

the story was proven fake, given that the bots aren't designed for survival but rather designed to kill and gain points.

That poor ninja :( He tried to get away from assasinations by slicing banana's only to find out that a cheap machine had taken his job, now he is back to assasinations and kidnapping..

Nice, I looked at it too but I wasn't too thrilled about buying one. Still nice though.

I have no money, but I want one. Especially since the game market is pretty small.

It sounded like a cool idea at first, but I don't think it will take off... There just isn't anything about the Ouya that excites me. I feel like it's going to turn into another Pandora: a cool idea that just doesn't take off. Unless Boxer8 can get some console-selling landmark titles (which would likely come via major third-party developers and publishers) or a collection of really impressive indie games, it'll just be another way to play Angry Birds.

Oh wow, you are not optimistic about this new console? Shocker ;)

What a sad world it would be if we all though that everything new and innovative would fail (well it would as no one would buy it).

You know, Sega has published Sonic 4 and Sonic CD on the Ouya market. Final Fantasy games are also available.
