Red Faction one? If it's the Pc version its more likely an incompatibly with modern hardware. If its the PS2 or GC version, my guess is as good as yours. I'd suggest getting another copy. Doesn't seem to be too expensive these days. Edited by 57E, Feb 2 2011, 07:14 PM.

it's the ps2 version, i noticed lying around someware, and i like it. it's a bit old so it has to load every 5 min, but it's still a nice game. i also noticad a few days ago that one of the sites on the cover isn't even online anymore. |

Played Red Faction one through years ago. The fabled geomod technology wasn't as ground breaking as hyped, but the game was definitly good FPS by it's other merits. Excpect the few unavoidable stealh levels were crap. Played Red Faction Guerilla last year. Found old ultron airlock in the desert and thought myself: "This reminds me of something, but I can't place my finger on it". And then the orignal Red Faction's Antagonist's dialog starts to echo in the place, "Oh yeah thats were it was". Too bad that Guerilla didn't have as good music as the original. My favorite was the "Accused" that plays in the options menu. Apparently the next Red Faction game is going to be more like the first one. Mars is once again unbreathable and action mostly takes place in the underground. |

Yeah, Red Faction, Red Faction 2, and Red Faction Guerrilla. |

Redfaction 2 ... didn't age that well. especially compared to how well the first one did. but it's still fun. |

Yeah just playd the intro and half way through first level. It doesn't seem to have the same feel as the original. Maybe thats just nostalgy or earhtly level enviorments. BTW found "Project: Snowblind" while looking for RF2's disc. Now thats a Playstation 2 shooter I can recomend.

possibly the terrible movement, the horrible design for half of the weapons, and mediocre level design. |

Never seen System Shock 2 sold on retail anywhere. I got my first computer few years too late. And theyre just too damn expensive to get these days: System Shock 2 37 to 199 euros And System Shock for 150 to 200 euros! Makes me wonder if any of my old games could be worth thousands. Ultima Underworld I & II cardboard boxed would probably the oldest I have. Gotta love the cd games that were sold on big cardboard boxes. I have old "The Depths of Doom - Triology" (Doom Ultimate, Doom II & master levels) box on shelf. The box is easily big enought to fit ~15 modern age dvd boxes in. AAAND it only contains A5 sized ~20 page b&w manual and three cds on paper envelopes instead of CD cases. I bet those who ordered it on mail had been pissed I think I just broke an unspoken law. I spend whole day on programing hex coordinate system and related crap for a simple roguelike... And had red wine and cold sausages instead of cola and micro pizza.
