Getting ready to release Blox 2.0 beta, the physics platformer I have been programming.

It uses Python + Panda3d + Bullet. The levels are stored in .xml files, and I have a simple level editor for it.

The website is practicaly finished, as is the engine.

Now I just need to add some more levels.

This forum be dead. :(
Yes, its quite sad.

This was a great place, even if we don't use U3D anymore.

I just finished getting the Blox website ready.

I only have the source up for beta testing right now, so you will need Python26 + Panda3d 2.7.1 or larger + wxPython to run it.

*Smacks up side the head* If you havent noticed, people are still using U3D, who gives a crap if the older members dont use it much/ at all anymore, we still have new people coming to this community, and its active. We have at least 2 or 3+ games being made in U3D and still being worked on. Theres still life in this forum.

If there was 10 small games being made right now, this still could not be considered an active engine.

Out of everyone here, I would say maybe 4 members can actually complete a fairly well made game.

The focus of the serious programmers resides no longer with U3D.

What I like about U3D....

1. I know that U3D's author has moved beyond it, but I really like the fact that U3D is the ONLY engine that supports the
.AN8 format. Anim8or is old and may seem useless to alot of people but it's so easy to use, just like U3D. I like that, it helps me
create the way I want to. I may not make any money with it, but I enjoy it, that's good enough for me. Even though I don't
program in GameMaker, I'm sure there's alot of new people that do and with U3D, it expands the capabilities of what they are
comfortable using. That's a good thing.

2. This forum is sometimes useful, but it seems that it's turned into a "Lair of Ghouls" praying on the innocent who are just trying
to make something with what they are used to using. It's sad that there are people here that are so angry that they feel the
need to be-little anyone else who doesn't think just like they do. What a shame.

3. There are (and were) good people here at this forum, like MysteriXYZ, Despellanion, Animaster78900 and U3D's author Dr.Best.
I would like to thank you (the before mentioned) for your hospitality and genuine humanity in trying to help people who are in
generalized terms, just trying to paint a picture. You are to be commended. Remember, there are new people coming here everyday
looking for guidance in not trying to use the latest, greatest programming language or 3d engine to create a commercial viable game,
but are just trying to create anything with the tools they have at hand. It's possible.

There are matters I must attend to, if the Creator is willing I will return here shortly to complete the various projects I initiated.
I look forward to seeing you all when I return.

Wow people! I was never trying to argue about using U3D.

I was simple confirming Luenardi's post that this form is dead.

This place is just about dead. Most questions we get have already been answered many times already.

Even though a few of us no longer use U3D, this is still the best place on the net to hang out at.

I have no problems with people that stick with U3D. It amazes me the things that can be done with such an old engine. I have said all of this many times before.

I am not hating on anyone.
