i dont know much about this but a friend showed me it at tafe a week or so ago and i thought some of you on the forum may like to watch it.. its called sintel and its a 15 min long,community made movie fully(as i was told)made in blender.

Not quite. It has been made by an international team of well-paid professionals, who spent around 8 months at the Blender Institute in Amsterdam. However a lot of the recruiting happened on Blender related communities. And all 3D components are made in Blender indeed. Modeling, rigging, animation, sculpting, rendering, composite, cut, etc. The textures are made with other tools, but those are open source as well. The only component that was not made with open source software, is the sound.

My 4 DVD pack arrived yesterday :) .
(Yes, I actually paid money for something, you can download for free. This is why I'm in the credits.)

By the way. If you liked Sintel, you may want to have a look at the two open movies, the Blender foundation made earlier.

yea thanks for the info update Dr Best i was only told about stuff from a friend at tafe (like school)

i will check out the other vids when im not doing assignments that are due in a week lol
