You can't use Game Maker's backgrounds with U3D, you need to load them with U3D.
Code:

LoadBackground("gfx/background.jpg");

Hi Joihnsonlee... :)
To get you started on with U3D, I suggest you have a look at the tutorials and examples, there's a pinned list under 'Tutorials and Examples'.
If you notice something that fascinates you in these tutorials/examples, find out how it works... :)
This process is alot of fun, trust me...
Welcome to U3D and 3D game making... Thumbs up...!

You make a model or rotate a floor by 180 degrees.

The bottom line is that you've got to read the manual, or at least the beginner section of it. You can't have forum people write your code for you because, as opposed to GMC, there are not enough of us. Plus it wont be even your own game if you don't understand the code in it. If you find reading screen text annoying (like me), then you should print out the manual. You're welcome to post questions about parts that you don't understand. You can do it!

Have a look at the sdk editable. and notice the floor object. that's a flat primitive*.
to make the 'floor' a 'ceiling' change the z variable to something higher. like 30 or something.
then you have to load a texture for the primitive.

to load a texture use LoadTexture( file location, texture id ) in the control object. it's just cleaner that way...

"gfx/herp.jpg" rad example of the file location in your project folder. you don't have to add "C:/yatta/project" in front it does that automatically where it is.
101 - rad example of a texture id. each one has to be different.

once you got the texture loaded. you can go to the 'ceiling' object and set this.

texture = <insert your ceiling texture id here>

* primitive = simple 3d object made through codes.like a cube, sphere, floor, wall, polygon.

all this stuff is in the manual. you have to read it, instead of skim through. I know it's a b****. but it helps :D
The feeling of homesickness never goes away when you return to your parents home from years of being away.

same goes with the smell of ash and smoke from the day you set it ablaze.
