I was saddened this morning to learn of the loss of Steve Jobs, one of the greatest thinkers of our times. Whether you liked or hated Apple, no one disliked Steve Jobs. Google, Amazon, and a host of other websites have put aside business, and posted remembrances of Steve on their front page. Steve Jobs, 1955 to 2011. |

Actually, I kinda did. Just in opinion tho, its not like I knew him or anything. But its still sad he died, hes such an important figure in the computer history. I felt kinda sad when I read that he was dead, (I usually don't twitch a muscle if I see a random person has died.) |

Ditto. He was brilliant and contributed much to the history of computers, but he was also hypocritical and egotistical. But don't speak ill of the dead, right? It wasn't really a surprise that Steve Jobs died, though. Pancreatic cancer is nasty stuff, and the fact that he stepped down as CEO not too long ago told quite a bit about the state of his health. |

Major celebrity like Steve Jobs kicked the iBucket and I only heard it several days later from some random internet encounter. Perhaps I should realy start following the news more frequently. I wonder how hard nosedive Apple's stock will take now when he has realy died as that fake rumor of his death from 2008 caused it to drop $4.8 billion dollars. |

I don't think it has taken a nosedive quite yet. I just looked, and it's been going down a little bit (most companies have been), but not nearly as much as one might think. It might have something to do with the fact that the iPhone 4S was announced on Tuesday and is padding the blow a little bit, or maybe investors feel confident about the new CEO at Apple. I don't know, though, I'm not an Apple guy. These are just my simple observations. |
