I've been noticing things a growing trend of people quick to break out the pitchforks and light the torches every time someone happens to post in a old topic. And I'm not just saying about this forum but several forums I've been to. They chant "Do a search" every time somebody creates a new topic on a subject that has been discussed, but when someone wants to add or clarify something. They strap them to a pole and start pouring gas on them. If a person generally has something new to add to the conversation I think why not "post it", someone is going to find it useful in someway. Or if the first time didn't make sense "ask it" even if the original post discussionists (that even a word) is no longer around someone could chime in to shed some light

What are your personal thoughts because sometimes I starting to wonder... if a new members enters the forum doesn't know the u3d ropes hes kind of stuck in limbo. I'm a firm believer in "Here is the manual learn to read it, don't understand well read it again, still don't understand, bang your head against the wall and read it again, if you awake from your concussion and still haven't found a solution then head to the forums."

Is it perfectly okay to start a new topic or is there some fine line that people will stare at you with disdain when you cross it. Now that i think of it i might be doing the exact same thing now. I haven't done a search on the topic. Take several of the tutorials links that are broken for example. Most of the topics are years old. But a newcomer looking around comes across the topic. Should he post for a relink from anyone? Or make up a new topic asking for help?

we want them to search for these topics, but not answer the things that were posted by members years ago. if the original posters still wanted the answers, they could re ask or bump their post, but instead they havent replied for years only to have someone post saying "i had same problem lol" while not realizing that the question might have been dropped or answered already.

I really don't care.

World keeps spinning.

Honestly I think people get mad at that for no reason, just because they can.

Speaking of Trolling...

That could be because of the nature of this forum. It's kind of slow paced in a way. I check back every week or so to see what i can find that's new. Occasionally there's some new topic that deserves a look.
