Hi, I currently have only 3 characters, a map and a tower in my game. The triangle count is a little over 18,000 and I'm getting less then 60 fps, sometimes I even get under 40. I know that my video card is at least part of the problem and so I wanted to ask; what's a good video card to get?

Here's some information I got from the dxdiag.
dxdiag info

Thanks for the help. ^_^

Well you won't get much out of a video card with 128MB RAM. One of the things I would begin with would be to upgrade the OS, cause the one you are using is over 10 years old :P

If I have to get a new OS, Video card and probably a new fan. Then it would be better to just get a new computer, right? What would be a good computer? :-/

I think the cheapest/most effective solution is to build one yourself, that way if your case is ok, you can keep it, same goes for your PSU if it delivers enough power, and the HDD.

>His suggestion<
:)

I like intel chips, they are very stable. Don't know which is more stable tho. I used to run AMD, but at the moment I am using an intel i5-750, which works really well. no overheating problems at all. My fans rarely spin up because of a high temperature. (only when using really heavy applications, but thats usually more the GFX card spinning up).

Amd is actually on par with Intel's stability.
A complete amd system will contain +-70% amd chips and chipsets.
This eliminates allot of crap with compatibility.

I am just enjoying all the power i have found with my phenom II x6 T1100

You can pick up a 6 core T1055 for dirt cheap.
With turbo core enabled it clocks to about 3.3Ghz from 2.8ghz on standard cooling with 0 voltage tweaks.

OK, so I did some research and found an AMD Phenom II on Amazon.com for $145.49 and an Intel Original i5-750 Heat Sink on Ebay.com for 24.35. The Intel is differently cheaper, but is it a good buy?

Thanks for Your help so far. :)

The Intel "CPU" you posted is not a CPU at all. It is the little fins that sit on top of the CPU to keep it cool.

Those are two processors, there not much you can do with a processor alone. Do note you cant fit an amd processor into an intel motherboard and vice versa.
if you want to get a new pc, expect to roll out at least 500 dollar. And please read the tutorial I gave you before. Maybe you should read up some about computer parts too, because this is really basic stuff. (you should atleast be able to distinguish a fan from a CPU)
