This is the forth goddamn time I've lost a goddamn motherfucking harddrive and guess the fuck what it was motherfucking Seagate all four times and oh yes, it just happened again, but this time I caught it, that's fucking right I caught it you fucker so instead of losing months of work, I'm losing three lousy hours that can be redone, like all art can because all are is art, and getting delayed around ten hours for the time it'll take me to get things reinstalled and reregistered but you know fucking what, that's okay because this time I was fucking prepared, and you know what I lost? Fucking three hours of work, a measly 59.4 MB, (and of course half my music library but that's all fucking right) because I fucking back this shit up to a 2 TB local external hard drive and I back this shit up to a fucking SVN every fucking goddamn day so you know what I'm chill with this bullshit, because right now, I have a hard drive left with just enough room for Windows 7 and Skyrim, and that's fucking all right because you know what, this cocksucking situation is fucking okay I'm fucking alright with this goddamn situation, it's not like I've already got a hard drive on the way to replace your failing Seagate ass, I mean, the heads scratching sectors what the FUCK is that BULLSHIT? That shouldn't FUCKING HAPPEN when I'm saving my goddamn Visual Studio projects, when I'm listening to some nice rock of the nineties, when I'm starting up Photoshop and turning on my tablet and Photoshop tells me, "Holy blazing fuck can't open this tittybiting file because you know what we hit a ballbreaking hard drive I/O error" and I can't copy the fucking file because of the same good old error and thats when I pull my power which is probably a bad thing because if the head is already fucked up a bad spin down isn't going to fucking help but that's okay because I do it like a fucking baws like a fucking champ anyways and I'm in fucking CompSci lab but for some reason I've got my backpack with knives hex wrenches flashlight medical and electrical tape and guess fucking what I've got some real good screwdrivers in there too so I pop the back, I make sure the SATA pins are all aligned are all good, I make sure it wasn't my RAM deciding to fuck with me like a fucking horny as fuck bottlenose dolphin on cocaine, and you know what it's all good. It's all good dude. So I've ordererd another hard drive to replace you, one that can actually survive my way of life, one that can actually fucking not scratch itself when I do my sprints up that damn 30 degree incline with the laptop on my back, one that draws less energy, one whos manufacturer, I fucking throw its brotha on the fucking wall and guess what it fucking worse while your brotha just fucking falls apart you know what? Fuck that. FUCK THAT. I'm fucking happy. I'm happy I caught it. You know, I'm fucking happy that I even have a damn computer. That I even have a goddamn laptop. I'm happy I'm in fucking school. I'm happy that I can fucking wake up every morning and have my two legs under me. You know what fuck you Seagate, you fucking make me feel like a selfish prick who takes everything for granted. fuck all that shit. fuck it ALL. I'm going to fucking have a cup of motherfucking orgasm inducing eggnog. I'm going to stand outside in the 28 degree weather barefoot with my steaming eggnog and fucking look at the goddamn moon then tomorrow i'm going to buy skyrim (and maybe a crossbow if I don't have to be 21 to get one) and maybe I'll buy a copy of skyrim for the 360 to treat my roommates because they've been really chill and i'm really fucking thankful to know such good people and FINALLY That was a long download Welp, I'm off to go burn the freshly downloaded iso of this deep scanning thingymajig to make sure it's not a virus blocking the sectors! Thanks for dealing with my bullshit again! (also, the size of these 'small' harddrives astound me. 500 GB? Holy COW. Like, a cow from Jesus.) (and after this, all I need is a DVD to burn windows7 to.) (and luen, super delayed response (as in about 10 months), but I only get one copy of windows7 for now, sorry) |

Interesting. I just had the same experience. Lost like 600 GB of data, but did not really bother. Need to check whether that 1TB HDD was a Seagate. All I lost were some emails and lots of movies. |

I could now rage about how Windows 7 is noticeably slower than XP, but I'll just shut up, blame that on myself, and enjoy the day. Also, what's with so many people complaining that you have to download the game even if you have the disk?

Well I had to download Skyrim even though I had a disc, which was extremely frustrating because it took 3 hours. I hate Steam. I don't buy physical game discs so that I can use Steam, I buy them to avoid using Steam. |

I'm letting my lil bro play Skyrim all today on my account. Currently on Ubuntu 10.10 Live CD, moving my partitions around so I can create a new MBR without using more space. I would like to boot up into things besides just Windows 7. On Steam installing from the internet when the CD is in the drive, that's Steam for you. It's extremely buggy, and Valve is only concerned with keeping it in working condition (otherwise, they revert to Valve time). And after the 10 overheats when playing Skyrim yesterday, I found my laptop shuts off when any part goes over 80 Celsius. Also lovin' the new class system. An orc thief with pluses in combat an' heavy armour? Yeah, I'll take that. Welp, 47 minutes left to completely move this partition around, I think I can finish drawing some drider makeout scene in one of my comics in that time. |

Dark Elf... Fire magic and AXES.. i have may quality battle AXES. This elder scrolls installment is by far the most amazing game i have put my hands on. Everything is so deeply detailed. Many items that may seem utterly and completely useless have a trick or 2. Sorry to hear about all the crap you are having. Edited by luenardi, Nov 13 2011, 08:41 AM.
