Almost everything I hear on the radio is bad music. The drums are clashy...they don't go with the flow and seeming jarring and out of place. An example of non-clashy drums are Reggae or Trance drums.

The mixing is terrible, sometimes the bass is inaudible. And this goes for any genre of music.

Sometimes a song will have a nice intro then
the lyrics ruin it. I'll explain why.
- The words don't fit the mood of the song, sound really cheesy, or you don't connect with them at all.
- Secondly, the melody of the lyrics does not use any sort of melodic variation, the lyrics just follow the main melody exactly, like they match the words to the notes
of the songs...really lame.
- Thirdly, the intro is used as a backing for this melody and just repeats ad infinium. If it sounds boring in FL Studio
why mass produce it
?
- Or they will bring in psuedo rap to supposedly bring in the "cool factor" but it just sounds lame because the tempo of the
rap does not match with song and most rap is monotone, and therefore clashes with the melody.

I would like to hear more stuff like the Beatles, Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Trance with Girl vocals, Spice Girls and Michael Jackson.
I would like to also learn how to compose music, but it is frustrating when the people on the radio supposedly learned how to compose music, and
look at where it got them. My college does not have a music composition course either.
I was looking to see what kind of music would you guys like to see in a Watergun game.

Enough said.

If your college doesn't offer a music theory course, just do some searching around on the web. There are plenty of sites that could be helpful to you. Just remember, half of composition is knowing the style, so listen to lots of different stuff.

Most of the music I listen to comes from Jamendo. You could use most of that for your game.

Have not been using a radio in a long time.

I cannot stand the radio but pandora radio is best because its personalized. I would rather have silence on a long trip than listen to the radio...The radio is so boring and anything upbeat with a little techno is just a never ending loop

This is how it goes..

----------------------- <this line... this is us. we are +-35% of the brilliant minds.
--- <this is everyone else +-65%

So where is there more money?

But in 10 years the lines will look like this.

-------------------------------------- <us
---------- <them

A recent poll... What do station you listen to in your car "in south africa"

80% said... I have MP3's

I have a 180 GB music collection.
Not getting bored soon because it's all chosen and tailored for me.
-Amen

Now you get the idea... well always be ahead.. and money overrides intelligence.
Thank you.

This has been Luen on human intelligence, consumer media. :P

I've got three radio stations that I listen to;

One is good rock from the 70s-2000s
one is modern rock and metal
the other is electronica

they all play good music..

My friend listens to a classical and jazz radio station, if you're having a problem with your radio stations, you're not looking for your radio stations xD
The feeling of homesickness never goes away when you return to your parents home from years of being away.

same goes with the smell of ash and smoke from the day you set it ablaze.

no man where I'm from they have been playing the same music since the 70's and every once in a while(like once a week) they'll throw in one disturbed song or one thing from lmfao. other than that you gotta listen to rihanna 7 times in a row to hear one good song. This is why I won't listen to the radio if i'm driving, i use pandora or mp3s
