I have a sphere that has a tilt on rotx of 10deg and I want it to spin by 0.01deg/step around roty. After it's tilted, and the spin applied, the sphere rotates around the roty as if it was still 90deg to the original rotx. I have been searching and agree that a matrix is the best thing to use to calculate the rotation. I have been looking at Rodriugues' Rotation Formula. How would I intergrate that into my script? I have tried to understand, but the subject of matrices is baffling me. I am more confused by all the unfamiliar algebraic symbols that all the examples I've seen, use. I need a simplified example so that I can study it and understand it better. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
