Im upgrading a desktops cpu, motherboard, ram and graphics card (almost a completely new build lol). the few things im keeping is the harddrive, psu and case, does this mean i have to reinstall the OS? If so, can i just upgrade the OS so i dont have to delete/backup all the files on the hard drive?

Unfortunately, you will have to reinstall the OS. Don't think theres a way you can just reinstall the drivers without reinstalling the OS.

Depends on driver conflicts..
I suggest a fresh install.

It depends on how different the hardware is. But fresh install recommended. If you want to try and keep the install, here is how to tell if it works. BSOD on boot means it does not work, else you will just have to clean out old drivers and install new ones.

(I could for example, put my computer's SSD into my laptop and it booted without much issues. My computer's processor is an i5-750 and my laptops proc is a 2nd gen i7 (cant recall exact specs))
