From Aug 2006 - Nov 2013 WeDig provided a live forum for diggers & fans of Vindolanda. It has now been mothballed and will be maintained as a live archive.

Here you will find preserved 7 years of conversation, photos, & knowledge about a site many people love. Vindolanda gets under the skin. (Figuratively and literally as a volunteer excavator!) It's a place you remember, filled with people you remember!

Thanks for 7 great years!

Somewhere else to add to my summer holidays visit list methinks! Thanks for the link.

Week 17
Any time is ice cream time, and you're supporting the local economy whenever you buy it!

Thanks for the updates. Hope to squeeze in a visit over the summer hols to check on progress.

Would love to come but it's right in the middle of term so can't.

Hope it goes well.

Week 15
Any problems with tree roots up in the trench by the hut? Have they interfered with the arcaheology at all?

Week 14
We're so lucky tohave ANY opportunity to dig at Vindolanda and the lectures are an added bonus whenBritish summertime decides to throw its worst at us!

Hope things improve soon. We had continuous rain in Merseyside most of yesterday with plenty of floods but got off lightly compared to many places.

Keep dry and safe everyone!

25 it is then. A cheque will be winging its way to Vindolanda soon. :)

20th Annual Charity Concert
Hi everyone

Just thought I'd remind you all about our concert in Liverpool on Sunday. There are still tickets available - so far I've raised 25 for Vindolanda. Let me know if you want tickets.

If you park at Muncaster Castle you can walk to Ravenglass via an excellent Roman bath house. See this link for details. It is a nice, easy walk with a couple of places for refreshment!

Friends' Evening?
Here are some photos I took while Andy was delivering his trench-side talk.

Amazed to see how much progress has been made since weeks 1 and 2, despite the awful weather!

It was a lovely evening.
