From Aug 2006 - Nov 2013 WeDig provided a live forum for diggers & fans of Vindolanda. It has now been mothballed and will be maintained as a live archive.

Here you will find preserved 7 years of conversation, photos, & knowledge about a site many people love. Vindolanda gets under the skin. (Figuratively and literally as a volunteer excavator!) It's a place you remember, filled with people you remember!

Thanks for 7 great years!

Week 17. Well back to wet weather again. Did we really manage a few days with that odd orange disc thing in the sky, or was it merely my imagination?

Week 18.
The Birkbeck crew + resident archaeologist Chris, resplendent in the 2007 Vindo T-shirt. Claire / Andy I promise next years pic will be a better one with my SLR. (If I have figured out how to drive it by then) Thanks gang, it was a fun week with you all. Good luck with your courses!

Week 19. Sorry I'm so slow in getting these posted folks. A combination of holiday (even we get em sometimes) and one or two camera gremlins delayed matters a bit.

Week 20. Ditches, ditches, ditches some big posts and finally some weather that resembled summer! Missing from the picture is Chris Wood who took a flyer before I remembered to take the pic. Sorry Chris ;-(

Week 21. The final crew! Wow that was a really fast summer. It felt somewhat proper, however, that on the final day of the dig we could see lines and lines of geese migrating south for the winter.
