From Aug 2006 - Nov 2013 WeDig provided a live forum for diggers & fans of Vindolanda. It has now been mothballed and will be maintained as a live archive.

Here you will find preserved 7 years of conversation, photos, & knowledge about a site many people love. Vindolanda gets under the skin. (Figuratively and literally as a volunteer excavator!) It's a place you remember, filled with people you remember!

Thanks for 7 great years!

Hi

after reading the hotly debated hat topic i came accross numerous references to the Indiana Jones movies. Despite being an aspiring archaeologist i have never seen an indiana movie in my life. Is this, as many of friends tell me, borderline sinful, or will do you think its possible that i will be able to get away without watching them whilst persuing some kind of archaeological career

Hi!!

I have to say that that type of behaviour is bordering on the blasphemous!! Get watching!! Even if it is just for the hat! :D

There was one on over the weekend, so you've missed that. But fear not - there is another one this Sunday, 8.05 on BBC1! I've just seen it advertised in my TV magazine.
Get watching!
Oh and a bit of Monty Python might come in useful too... ;)

Best lines from "The Last Crusade":

"She talks in her sleep."

"No ticket."

Last Crusade, definitely!! Temple of Doom I can take it or leave it, but Crusade is my favourite! :D

I still think the first one, Raiders of the Lost Ark, is the best. Definitely had the best female counterpart to Indy.

And the fourth movie, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, opens at the end of the month!

Oh how disappointed was I!! :(

It was all going swimmingly until the last five minutes when they actually went where you hoped for the rest of the film that they wouldn't!! Indy come back to us! ;)

That said I did enjoy it and a still grinned like an 8 year old when I heard the music!! :D
