indicative of how busy I am, and the weather conditions that we have to work under= the lack of response on the wedig site :D . That and the lack of connectivity on the excavations. Of course, this website is set up by volunteers to be run by volunteers, so why don't the volunteers post their photo's is the question you need to be asking..........

Here is the third last week.

I have found the volunteer excavators to be a shy and reclusive tribe. They scatter at the appearance of a camera unless it is accompanied by the barked orders of the Centurions!

Hope Andy's last photo is better than this one!

Even when he stopped talking, they didn't want to leave the site and the rain was chucking it down.

Hope everybody got back home safely.

See you in 2012

Malise (and Mike)

What a week!! Gales, downpours, sun and fun and hardly an hour lost........here are a couple of snippets from the last day of the season. See you in 2012, if not before.

Hi Andy
How about posting the group photo for week 22-27th August. We were rained of at lunchtime on the last day & you were the only one who took a photo, you was balancing on the diggers hut wall & we were all hunched up outside the hut door.

That was definitely the 1st week of August crew, including the Time Team totty!

Thanks for giving up a week of your holiday to keep us all on the straight and narrow. However, some of us gave up our holiday and paid to volunteer....!
