Week 3, the promise of things to come.

The week 3 team were superb, working through yet more rotten weather but really moved a considerable volume of earth, especially as their trenches were firmly under water for part of the time. Looking like we are going to have a fun summer as a result, with things starting to liven up quite a bit, or at least it will do if the sun starts to shine on a consistent basis. Definitely a series of large ditches to be uncovered, possible causeways and all manner of other good things.

I expect that week 4 will be a another tough one with the weather, but there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel in this department. Thanks to all week 3 team members, you were troopers, photo to follow on Monday.

best,

Andrew

P.S. Also a very, very special thanks to a wonderful volunteer who has donated boxes of new trowels to the excavations, gloves, mats, spades, a water pump, dust sheets, hand shovels, picks and some other wonderful toys. We are extremely grateful sir, and we salute you.
