I'll resist the strong temptation to make some off-colour jokes.

Nice picture Tim! And looking forward to seeing some more.

All the new areas being uncovered are making this especially good for vicarious WeDiggers. Fascinating to see it all gradually unveiled on the forum. What I'm also trying to figure out is whether anyone digging in July will be in the vicus/new area, or if we'll all be over in the North field?

Agreed on the photo quality. Superb.

Tim & snow, you seem to have a hit a really good week to be there; those anaerobic layers might be smelly, but there always seem to be some fascinating finds in it...

Ooh! Roomier tea hut, when did that happen? in 2010 there wasn't nearly that much room for people to sit inside (Terry & Pauline photo 3 in the set linked in post above).

Some great shots in there, I love the perfume bottle.

A technical question for you Pierre, how did you get the shallow depth of field? Is that with photoshop post-processing or did you use some kind of filter on the lens? The plank shot is a good example of what I'm talking about.

Wow, I'm amazed you were able to get that much of an effect even at f2. I was expecting you to say it was through post-processing... Thanks for the info.
