From Aug 2006 - Nov 2013 WeDig provided a live forum for diggers & fans of Vindolanda. It has now been mothballed and will be maintained as a live archive.

Here you will find preserved 7 years of conversation, photos, & knowledge about a site many people love. Vindolanda gets under the skin. (Figuratively and literally as a volunteer excavator!) It's a place you remember, filled with people you remember!

Thanks for 7 great years!

At least you can tell a White Horse when you see it from a distance.

This Northumbria work of art you will need to be flying over it to make any sense of it.

Last Friday when we visited, the weather was trying to snow, all very wet and miserable.

The school children didn't mind - usual noisy lot round the replica buildings with the teachers trying to keep some control.

Quite a few trees and bushes taken out in the Museum gardens... no nice private corners anymore where you could sit and eat your sandwiches.

Just hope the weather is not snowing a blizzard second week of May! :D
