Nobody came forward for the roll call this session but now is your chance in the late summer limelight to post & tell your fellow diggers what's going on. I'm up for a visit this week so will post photos mid week. Requests taken, anyone want a view from a particular spot?

You always take such a nice range of photos, it hardly seems necessary asking since you will have anticipated it all anyway, :-).

I did particularly enjoy that "before and after" series you did earlier this year which showed the back-filled areas in the vicus from end of 2012. Well, I wasn't very happy to see "my" wall being back-filled, but there you go.

Kudos to you, Pete. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by me and no doubt all the others who can't make it to the site as often as we would like.

Cheers.

- Scott

Just like being there, a 360o view inside the fort today just drag your mouse or finger to move around

Thanks Pete, can you give us access to full size versions? I'd love to see these in more detail because there's various bits there that I was working on in July.

Also, a great relief to hear that "Robber Trench II" is looking to be much narrower than the first one (mentioned in Justin's tweet today). Possibly similar volume of earth disturbed in each of them, but it was looking like the new one might be significantly bigger.

Forgot to mention in the email that the top five pics would be great. Much as I like Justin (great name after all), I think I can forego the high res shot of him. B)

As the season draws to a close it would be nice to see who's visiting and how many active Wediggers we have out there.
I would ask for a volunteers show of hands if I may.

Just click the "Like" button on this post. Don't worry we won't be sending out kitchen salesmen or anything!

Just spent the day feeling sorry for the diggers on their last day of session 11 because it has rained heavily almost nonstop.

Still hoping to see something from Justin or a final video blog on the Trust site. The combination of tweets and vlogs this year gave a really excellent running "commentary" on the digging season, hoping to see the same coverage in 2014!

It has been rather quiet. If I recall correctly, in past years there has been a great sigh of relief and some family vacations that happen when the last barrow gets tipped.
