Not sure if I can make it Weds night. The flyer said that they were about from approx 6pm-8pm, although that might just be for the celebrity program. Their normal hours are 8am-10pm starting Thurs. Does that special 40% off deal last during the entire grand opening sale (flyer says until 11/2), or just on Weds? |

I went out there last night. I thought I was early when I arrived at 5:30. I didn't bother going inside, there were too many people there. It was like a walmart sale the day after thanksgiving. |

they say there will be over 10000 visitors by this weekend  i might go take a look sat , the family and i are staying in tracy this weekend at the 5 star motel 6 on tracy blvd. kyle has a baseball tournament at the field on 11th st all day sat and sun.

One of my friends camped out and made it on Weds. He sent a text "I've died and gone to heaven." The dude went nuts there. He said that there were 5-10 guys waiting to see Roland Martin, but over 100 lined up to see the Black Widow. I know Ron & Pam went there for the opening. They said it was amazing. Lots of people. He spent about $250 on stuff. Everthing is about 30-40% off until sometime next month I think. |

Chris, Jesse, Mark and I went on Wednesday night (great parking with Jesse's handicap placard!), & ran in to Joe, Brent and Cameron. it was CRAZY! and the 4 of us left before going in. No Roland, but we did see Jimmy Houston - from about 1/4 mile off! Pam & I went back on Friday. nice store, but we ducked out quick and didn't shop much. i'll give it a week to settle down. i need some line, and it seems all my hooks blew out of the boat. (i had 'em in a zip-lock bag) |

I finally had a chance to go to BPS. I wasn't impressed with the store. I think it's one of the smaller stores. The merchandise wasn't very well organized. They were practically sold out of all the good stuff. I seen a lot of empty pegs. They're suppose to fill the tank with big bass from the local waters. I guess no one caught any trophy bass lately. |

I understasnd from an insider that BPS had fish to put in, but their diet (supplied by the construction workers) did't agree with them and they wound up floating. I only get to Walton's about 2-3 times a year. Usually when I'm in that neighborhood, i'm on my way to somewhere. i'll use BPS for line and terminal tackle, but that's about it. It'll be good to have them nearby for boat parts. also a good reel selection, but the craziness there has to subside a little if you want to shop. i'm more anxious to have them around as a decent archery shop. |
