Wayne tells me there's small schoolies pretty thick around Sherman. That's a long way to go for small fish though. i need to take a neighbor kid fishing and have lots of hookups though but would really like to not have to take him on that water. it can get pretty rough there.

You can catch legal size stripers off antioch pier. You need to use bigger baits. If you're throwing cut anchovies like everyone else on the pier, you won't catch anything bigger than 12 inches.

Went out today from River's End and looked for stripers. Went looking around Coney. Caught a 6lber first thing on a spook. Got a nice one on a ripbait that went about 10...lost one that was in the 10 range when it straightened out my hook. :P

I also caught about 12lbs of largies...including a 5.5 and a 3 ripping. The best bite for stripers was in the am until around 11 while the tide was going out. The largies came right at the bottom of the tide before it switched...they were on steeper rocky banks in about 8-12'.

Found a big school of stripers in Old River right before I went in. They were trapping bait against the banks with back eddies next to tulle clumps close to where Old River hits Coney. Wore my arms out catching them almost every cast for a while until the wind picked up and scattered the bait.

Your arms are wore out because you don't fish enough. You need to fish more and condition yourself.

Sure, I'd fish more...If I didn't have to keep staying at work until 8pm fixing "easy" install issues. I think we're going to officially change the office website to"comcastisevil.net
