I thought they looked fantastic playing in the full Wests Magpies strip, even the shorts and socks. It felt like the days of old, I didn't want it to end. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Best of all they won while looking like the Magpies. I'm looking forward to the Souths game now when they'll wear the mighty Black and White again. A real bummer about Benji though. Who knows, maybe another young Magpie will get his chance to shine? |

Oops, guess I got a bit too excited. Thanks for setting me straight 'gr8_1'. Oh well, at least people got to see how good the Wests Magpies strip looks first before the Balmain one gets a run. |

I agree, seeing the Magpies running around on 9's Sunday coverage brought a smile to my face. Seeing us win was even more special! |

Hopefully that fabulous Magpies Heritage strip reveals itself again throughout the season during what is the Centenary year for not only League but this Football Club. Would love the to see Wests Tigers run out in it against Manly be it a home game or away. That would be priceless and a 'stink' to go with it

The past great players been introcuced onto the ground was another highlight of the day. TG looks as fit as he did when he was playing ! |

T'was a highlight indeed and the generous invitation to 4 Dragon stalwart's with Raper, Gasnier and Provan all been welcomed with Langlands having to miss the occassion. Pity the entire Team of the 60's couldn't of been there today. That would have been magical. Although i find incredibly hard to believe that out of the modern players that have played for Western Suburbs, Mick Liubinskis, Joe Cool, Tee Cee are the only faces that seem to appear frequently at staged events like today. I sincerely hope that players from the past especially the 80's and 90's era are contacted and urgered to attend future events at not only commerative matches but at Home Games at Campbelltown, just like Balmain does with their legends. they parade close to 30 of their greats every home game show casing their history to a live audience. But more so, i hope past past players like your Clark, Gibbs, O'Grady, Mullins, Boyd, Boland, Brown, Lamb, Mouniter, Crooks, Schubert, Langmack, Willis', Dunn, Georgallis, McGuinness Bros. etc. are contacted, invited and urged to attend the prestigous Black & White Ball. |

Peter Dimond and Trevor Cogger on the same stage was just magnificient for me! If it wasn't for the twit ground announcer I would of forgotten that Wests Tigers existed. It was a great day finished perfectly by Lawrence and Ryan taking the monster that is Gasnier into touch. Can't wait for that Black and White Ball. |

I wonder if we would be at the stage in the joint venture where Wests Tigers wear the Balmain and Wests strips 50% of the time? |

I doubt that will ever happen as it shows and promotes division unintentionally as it may be, but it's still not a good message to the general rugby leahue public and community. But surely a couple of times throughout the season would surely not hurt against traditional and arch rivals like St.George-Illawarra, Manly, Bulldogs etc. Get way to promote old clashes, bitter rivalry with the bonus of exposure of the Western Suburbs brand. A great mechanism for preservation of the Magpie image. I wonder if this conept and idea has been raised or discussed by the Football club and Joint-Venture board? If not, i think it should, there's a tremendous amount of merit and opportunity to promote the brand awareness at the highlest level of the game that has the best commercial and media coverage.Wests Tigers play 24 times a year. Wearing a Western Suburbs Heritage strip 3 times a season be it at Home or Away against and inconjunction with traditional/arch rivals would be a fantastic advertisement for this club and the game of Rugby League in a day and age where tradition and history should always be remembered, as it's what makes the game for what it is. |

What for ? It's the Wests Tigers, they wear there own jerseys. Thats why the centenary jerseys have a Wests Tigers logo on them. What you think this is Jekyl & Hyde. |

They looked great and for once done properly with socks and shorts as well. Seems a waste to only wear it the once, maybe again at the last home game at Cambo. Funny thing though, even tho I couldnt go on Sunday, watching on TV, initially I thought "Wow"...then not long after it was like nothing had changed, was like old days, it was normal...particularly our forwards and their rushing defence, their aggro and in your face attitude in the black strip....all that was missing was Boyd Tommys and Dallas' heads pokin out the jumpers, Rexs voice in commentary and the Lidcombe hill in the b'ground...a very very pleasnt trip back down memory lane |

Western Suburbs Heritage Strip Vs. St.George-Illawarra, Manly, Bulldogs. Balmain Heritage Strip Vs. Souths, Parramatta, Canberra. Wests Tigers Black and Gold strip for the remaining 18 games. Traditional rivalries covered. Too Easy Craig
